Buying a wood pellet truckload
Each listing above is a full wood pellet truckload: 24 tonnes of bagged heating pellets stacked on pallets, delivered in one drop. Choose softwood for quick ignition and a hot flame, or hardwood for a denser, longer burn. Trade buyers, farms, estates, schools and communal heating systems use full loads to cut the number of deliveries and secure a season’s fuel in one go.

Softwood or hardwood?
- Bulk softwood pellets: 6 mm pine and spruce, quick to light, low ash, suits appliances that cycle on and off.
- Bulk hardwood pellets: oak and beech, slow and even burn, suits big boilers on long cycles.
If you haven’t burned our fuel before, start with a single pallet of softwood heating pellets or hardwood heating pellets, or the mixed pellet pallet, then move up to a full wood pellet truckload once you know what your appliance likes. Our guide to how long a pallet of pellets lasts shows how to work out your yearly use.
Planning the delivery
A 24-tonne load arrives on a large articulated lorry. Before you order, make sure the truck can reach and turn on your site, that you have a forklift or telehandler to unload, and that you have covered space for about two dozen pallets. We go through these points with you when we confirm the order and the freight cost.
Energy in a full load
Good wood pellets hold roughly 4.6 to 5 kWh per kilogram, so a full load carries around 110,000 to 120,000 kWh before boiler losses. For background on pellets as a fuel, see the pellet fuel article.
Delivery worldwide
We deliver to customers worldwide. Freight depends on distance and route, so it’s agreed before dispatch. For regular loads through the season, or a mix of softwood and hardwood on one truck, ask us through the contact page.
